What is the bearing capacity of the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene liner?

We all know that UHMWPE sheets have good performance, but how much do you know about their performance? Do you know what performance it has? A typical ultra high molecular weight polyethylene sheet is a semi-crystalline material which is harder and has a higher melting point than ordinary sheets.

Since the homopolymer type is very brittle when the temperature is above 0 ° C, many commercial polyethylene materials are random copolymers of 1 to 4% ethylene or a higher ratio of ethylene content of the clamp copolymer. The copolymer type sheet material has a low heat distortion temperature (100 ° C), low transparency, low gloss, low rigidity, but has a stronger impact strength.

The strength of the sheet increases with increasing ethylene content. The ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene liner has the original properties of ultra-high polymer and has a long life. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene liners are widely used in the inner liners of various large and medium-sized coal bunkers such as power plants and steel mills. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene liners are divided into different grades according to color, and there are four main colors of white, blue, black and green.

White represents an excellent high wear-resistant liner: black is modified and added with high-polymer compounds, which improves the coefficient of friction and improves antistatic properties. Green means that it can be applied in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene liners have very good load carrying capacity. Their load carrying capacity is not the same as that of metallic materials. Its load carrying capacity depends mainly on the strength and stiffness of the material. In addition, it is affected by the mechanical properties of high polymers.
